As it is the month of February, February can imply one thing and one thing only: Valentine’s Day! While we should always be celebrating love and our valentine year-round, this significant day in February remains a day in which we honor loved ones whether that be our spouse, partner, family member or even friend reminding them how just how much we love them and how much they mean to us. As Valentine’s Day is coming up pretty soon (just 6 days away from composing this), you might be inquiring what you should do for your significant valentine this year. There are many things you can do, but one thing you can do is go to Disney! Now, going to Disney may not be in your budget, but if you merely so happen to be traveling to Disney World or Disneyland during Valentine's Day or even live near a Disney theme park, there are plenty of options out there for you to enjoy a great Valentine’s Day!

1. Eat Out At A Disney Restaurant

Eating Out is a wonderfully straightforward thing you can do pretty much anywhere, anytime. However, eating at Disney can be an extremely unique and intimate thing to do with your valentine too as a) you are on Disney property which is magical in and of itself begin with, and b) you are enjoying a delightful meal with the person you love. Just being on Disney property will make it feel extremely special. By all means, Disney is a theme park, but Disney is not your ordinary theme park.

Ordinary theme parks have normal theme park food, but when you go to Disney, the food is a little bit more magical. This includes food at the Restaurants. The Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resort are home to dozens of amazing restaurants for you to choose from, so finding one you both will like shouldn’t be a complex thing to achieve. You don’t even need to set foot inside of the theme park to eat at one of the outstanding places either. You have Downtown Disney District, the three Disneyland Resort Hotels, Disney Springs, the Walt Disney World Hotels, and not to mention, the parks themselves!

2. Take A Disney Tour

While taking a Disney Tour may not be completely romantic, going on one with your special Valentine could be a really awesome way to spend Valentine’s Day. If you and your special valentine passionately appreciate the Disney theme parks and your significant other does as well and you haven’t taken a VIP tour, then what on Earth are you waiting for?! Disney World hosts tons of tours and while Disneyland is more limited, they do provide tours as well. At the Walt Disney World Resort, you have the Behind the Seeds tour at Epcot; the Caring For Giants tour at Animal Kingdom; Disney’s Family Magic Tour at the Magic Kingdom; Disney’s Keys to the Kingdom Tour; Epcot Seas Adventures- Aqua Tour; Epcot Seas Adventures- Dive Quest; Epcot Seas Adventures- Dolphins In Depth; Savor the Savanna: Evening Safari Experience; Sense of Africa at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge; Starlight Safari at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge; Star Wars Guided Tour at Hollywood Studios; the Ultimate Nights of Adventure VIP Tour; The unDISCOVERED Future World Tour at Epcot; the Up Close With Rhinos tour at Animal Kingdom; the Walt Disney: Marceline to Magic Kingdom Tour; Wild Africa Trek; Wilderness Back Trail Adventure and the World Showcase: DestiNations Discovered Tour.

Over at the Disneyland Resort, you have a few options as well but not as many. You have the Disneyland Resort VIP Tour; The Grand Circle Tour; the “Walk in Walt’s Disneyland Footsteps” Tour and the Happy Haunts Tour at Halloween time. To say there will not be a tour suited for you and your valentine is an understatement. Getting to see Disney from backstage or a behind-the-scenes area is a real treat and will definitely be something truly special for Valentine’s Day!

3.Visit A World-Class Spa

The point of a vacation is to relax and get away from life’s struggles and worries living in a ‘Hakuna Matata’ moment. Every so often, taking a vacation from your vacation is needed. What I mean by that is sometimes we merely need to pause from all the stress when it comes to the theme parks. When that time comes, how about considering a visit to one of Disney’s World Class Spas? I’m certain your Valentine will especially love an extraordinary massage. Best of all, you join your valentine in some wonderful couple experiences! At the Walt Disney World Resort, you have La Vida Health Club at Coronado Springs; Mandara Spa at Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel; Senses at both the Grand Floridian and Saratoga Springs Resort; Ship Shape Massage Salon Fitness at the Yacht Club Resort and the Zahanati Massage & Fitness Center at the Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Over at the Disneyland Resort, you have only one spa; the Mandara Spa over at the Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. If you are going to do a Spa treatment, Senses or Mandara are the ones you need to go to. Both of them are world-class and feature many amenities from facials, various massages, pedicures and more! Best of all, they have options for couples! One thing to note is the various services at both spas can be a little bit on the pricey side, but I think the price is sufficient given the quality you receive.

4. Take a Fireworks Cruise

If you are visiting the Walt Disney World Resort during Valentine’s Day, maybe consider taking a Fireworks Cruise? Now, these are unactual ‘cruise ships', but they are mini cruises that are for the night if you will. And no, they are not cruises you stay on overnight Think of it like seeing the fireworks aboard a boat with mutual benefits. Disney World has two options for Fireworks Cruises: the Happily Ever After One or the Illuminations: Reflections of Earth one. While aboard, a cruise captain will be taking you to either Bay Lake (for Happily Ever After) or Seven Seas Lagoon (for Illuminations) accompanied by some light drinks and snacks. Then, as the fireworks begin, the audio will be magically synchronized to the boat!

You do have the option of a 21-foot Pontoon which seats up to eight guests for $299 + tax, a 25-foot boat that seats up to 10 for $349, and then there is a Grand 1 Yacht that seats up to 18 guests for $399/hour. For an additional charge, you do have the option of adding private dining menu selections. Either way, sailing on a private cruise and getting to see the Disney fireworks will definitely make for an incredible night!

5. Visit an Epcot Festival

One thing that most people will have in common regardless of gender, race, sexual orientation, or even culture is the factor that people love food. What more pleasing way than to spend time with your valentine date enjoying some wonderful, delicious food? Since I had already mentioned the idea of visiting at Disney restaurant which is a great option if you are seeking something romantic and fancy. Every so often, you may just want to be a bit casual, so if you want to have a food date, maybe consider one of Epcot’s International Festivals! More or less if you are visiting Epcot during Valentine’s Day, you will experience the Epcot International Festival of the Arts. This festival is all about the visual, culinary, and performing arts.

As with any Epcot Festival, there are always specialty food kiosks and the Festival of Arts is no exception. These particular food items are more special in my opinion than other Epcot festivals as this festival is all about the art. With this in mind, each food item you find at the various kiosks is stunningly gorgeous and tastes just as amazing as they look. To coincide with your food date, maybe stop by and see a concert, do some painting, check out the art, and take in all that the festival has to offer. There is so much to do and see during the Epcot International Festival of the Arts so there is sure to be something you as a couple is going to enjoy.

6. Resort Hopping

Going to Disney for Valentine’s Date does not require spending luscious amounts of cash. If you want to have some fun without busting the bank, possibly resort hopping is something that may be of interest to you. I don’t know about you, but sometimes just exploring things is extremely fun to do, especially if you have no agenda or plan. The Walt Disney World Resort is home to over 20 differently themed hotels. Each hotel has many things to do and is big enough to explore. Some resorts have trails, specialty bars/lounges, have movie night on the grass, arcades, spas, and much more. Another great option is to ride the monorail and stop at each resort along the track! Maybe start at Contemporary for some rooftop dinner at California Grill. Then hop on over to the Polynesian for some Dole Whip, and then finally making your way to the Grand Floridian Resort to end your night out with some delicious drinks from Citricos Lounge.

Now, if you are at the Disneyland Resort, you can easily do something just as fun. The Disneyland Resort only contains three hotels, but just because there is only three, does not mean you cannot have fun. In fact, the Monorail loop at Walt Disney World has only three hotels. While all three hotels at the Disneyland resort are unconnected via monorail, you can still just as easily get from resort to resort. You can begin your night out for a romantic dinner at Napa Rose inside the Grand Californian Resort. Then, weather permitting, you can catch the nightly fireworks show atop Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel. After watching the fireworks, you can stop at the Disneyland Hotel for some yummy drinks at Trader Sams! Either way, it should be an extremely fun night out!

7. Special Valentine Dinner at Victoria and Albert’s

Disney World is home to many different and great things for Valentine's date night. I have already discussed some of these things, but what I have not discussed is something on the pricey side. If you are looking for an unforgettable evening that is unparalleled to nothing else, you might want to check out Victoria and Albert’s. If you are unfamiliar with the Restaurant, Victoria and Albert’s is a restaurant located at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, FL. First of all, to get in, you do need a reservation. There is no possible way to get into this place without one. Secondly, you need making a reservation for Victoria and Albert’s Months in advance and even then, you may need to get on a waiting list.

Once and if you can go, you will not forget it. As this is an intimate, fancy, experience, you will need to dress accordingly. This is not your average sit-down as this is a very upscale restaurant. The cost to eat consists of a prix-fixe menu tailored to your unique taste buds and preferences, including any allergens you are allergic to. The price will vary depending on whether or not you want a 7-course or 10-course meal, want alcohol included, and even the dining room you want to sit in. Roughly, you are going to be spending about $200+ per person for the whole evening. On average, the whole experience is completely worth the cost and will for sure be an unforgettable evening.
